Annual Benefits Enrollment for benefits-eligible faculty and staff will take place Monday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. Beginning Oct. 12, you must enroll via Workday if you are changing benefit elections, adding or removing a dependent(s), planning to participate in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and/or if you are currently enrolled in the Voluntary AD&D with family coverage, as you will need to re-enroll during Open Enrollment if you wish to continue that coverage. FSA elections require re-enrollment each year as they do not automatically renew.

Elect your 2027 benefits by accessing your Workday inbox, clicking the Open Enrollment Change task, and following the instructions on the screen.

There are a variety of resources available to help you understand your benefits and navigate the enrollment process:

  • Open Enrollment Webinar: Faculty and staff are invited to the Open Enrollment Webinar at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, on Zoom. Vice President and CHRO Mary Lucal and Jeff Ries, benefits consultant at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., will attend to discuss the state of health care. Jan Myers, executive director of Compensation and Benefits, and Shannon Araya, director of Benefits, will then provide an overview of 2027 benefits changes. For those who are unable to attend, this webinar will be recorded.
  • Benefits Fair: The Annual Benefits Fair will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Sutton Center, Fourth Floor Gym. All are invited to attend to learn about benefit offerings, speak with benefit vendors, and enjoy free gelato while it lasts!

If you need assistance with the enrollment process, the Benefits team is available to answer questions. You can drop in to an in-person enrollment assistance session throughout the enrollment period. Virtual assistance via Zoom is available upon request; email or call 336.758.4700.
