Wake Forest University will transition benefit plans from a fiscal year to a calendar year for benefits-eligible faculty and staff. The University will have a six month plan period from July 1 – December 31, 2018 to accommodate this transition. The Annual Benefits Enrollment process for this shortened plan period will take place April 2-9, 2018.
Faculty and staff must actively enroll if:
- changing benefit elections and/or dependents
- covering an eligible spouse on the medical plan
- and/or planning to participate in a Flexible Spending Account.
Annual Benefits Enrollment for 2019 elections will take place in late October 2018, with benefit updates effective January 1 – December 31, 2019. Information about campus events and benefit plan updates will be communicated fall 2018.
