This message was sent to faculty and staff who are not approved to be unmasked in the workplace.

Bottom Line, Up Front:

  • Asymptomatic testing begins next week, August 16; it is now time to register for an available time slot.
  • Employee testing occurs Mondays between 1pm – 6pm and Thursday between 7am – Noon; you only need to attend testing one day per week.
  • The testing site is located in the Wellbeing Center, classroom B274.

Dear colleague,

You are receiving this email because our records indicate you are currently not approved to be unmasked in the workplace. The university has established a protocol that requires individuals who are not approved to be unmasked in the workplace to participate in regular asymptomatic testing. Beginning the week of August 16, you are required to be tested once per week at the on-campus asymptomatic testing site.

Register for an available time slot on either next Monday, August 16 or Thursday, August 19. Time slots for faculty and staff are available on Mondays between 1pm – 6pm and Thursdays between 7am – Noon. If you need help registering, call the Faculty and Staff Clinic at (743) 223-4217. If you have trouble accessing the registration link, copy and paste the following URL into your browser: https://tinyurl.com/FacultyStaffCOVIDTestAug16-19

The testing site is located in the Wellbeing Center, classroom B274. To access the testing site, enter through the rear entrance of the Wellbeing Center (directional signs are posted). You will not be allowed to access the testing site through the main entrance of the Wellbeing Center. If you need access to an elevator to reach the second floor (testing site), enter through the double doors located off parking lot L. Limited parking in parking lot L is available for employees who do not work on the Reynolda Campus. The testing site will be using the SalivaDirect COVID-19 diagnostic test, a simple self-administered test that requires the individual to deposit a saliva sample into a sterile container.

Testing should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. To help ensure efficiency at the testing site, please register for a time slot. A limited number of walk-ins will be allowed for colleagues who may not have regular access to email or a computer for electronic registration. Human Resources has provided managers and department chairs with a list of their direct reports who have not been approved to be unmasked in the workplace and are required to participate in asymptomatic testing. Inform your manager if your appointment time may disrupt your work.

If you fail to complete regular asymptomatic testing at the campus testing site, you may be subject to corrective action. If for some unlikely and unforeseen reason you are unable to attend your appointment, you should inform your manager or department chair, not Human Resources.

If you have been partially vaccinated, please continue to participate in asymptomatic testing and wear a mask until you are fully vaccinated – two weeks after your second dose of a two-dose vaccine, or after your first dose of a single-dose vaccine. If you have been fully vaccinated and believe you have received this email in error, please confirm that you have provided the university with your current vaccination status in Workday (view instructions).

If you have questions, please contact Human Resources by using the HR Feedback Form or emailing askHR@wfu.edu

Sincerely,
Wake Forest University Human Resources
