Parental Leave for Staff

The parental leave program provides eligible staff with paid leave following a birth or adoption. Faculty have a separate policy. The parental policy for staff has been revised to allow staff members to take parental leave within 12 months of the birth or adoption instead of immediately following. Phased Retirement Program

The phased retirement program offers the ability for faculty and staff to enter into a limited-term, part-time working arrangement before full retirement while retaining access to the full suite of benefits. The program length has been revised from “up to five years” to “up to two years” for new agreements. The age and service eligibility has been revised from age 59.5 with five years of service to age 60 with eight years of service so an employee meets retirement eligibility criteria at the end of the program.
