The following message was sent to faculty and staff who are not approved to be unmasked in the workplace.

Dear colleague,

As a reminder, Human Resources is maintaining a list of all employees who have not been approved to be unmasked in the workplace. As of today, you are not approved to be unmasked in the workplace.

Your manager has a list of their direct reports who must comply with the university’s masking policy – you must be masked when indoors and in the presence of others. With the highly contagious Delta variant on the rise across North Carolina, protecting the health of our campus community, especially the unvaccinated, is paramount.

If you have not already, complete our vaccine survey prior to August 2. Your participation in this process is critical to our final planning for a fully operational campus in August.

The university will soon begin regular asymptomatic testing of all employees who have not been approved to be unmasked in the workplace. This is to protect the unvaccinated as well as to reduce the potential for outbreaks caused by the highly contagious Delta variant. Testing will be facilitated by WFBH staff in the Benson University Center. Faculty and staff testing will take place two days per week; student testing will occur on the alternate days. We will communicate start dates for testing, as well as  scheduling, in the coming weeks.

If, at any time, you need to update your vaccine survey response, please email askHR@wfu.edu. After the first week in August, the process of updating vaccine information will transition to Workday.

Sincerely,
Wake Forest University Human Resources
